		<description>I almost never give money to panhandlers (heck, I don&#039;t even carry cash that often these days), but for a long time I kept a box of that semi-soft dogfood in the car for those I saw who had pets.  (the semisoft &quot;burgers&quot; smell so bad I figured it was less likely to be eaten by the human...)  More recently, I would take granola bars or whatever from the snackrooms at my temp jobs and keep them in the car to hand out, but as you said, so many of them stand at busy intersections for some reason.
Hollywood is positively teeming with homeless people but surprisingly few of them are actually panhandling, for some reason.</description>
