		<description>I believe that, according to Al Gore, hurricanes are due in Denver sometime soon.  But since Denver gets no homeland security funds, I doubt that&#039;s what the trucks are involved in.</description>

		<description>I&#039;ve always assumed that the cherrypicker baskets are left up high to make them harder to tamper with, vandalize or sleep in.  Of course I don&#039;t actually know how they&#039;re operated or what can be done from where, but my idea seems plausible enough to run with until an expert can be found and consulted.

A better question is why so many were needed at a speedway - is it off-season and they&#039;ve rented the parking lot to the, uh, tree-trimming department?</description>
