Wake Up Call

Pet Peeve Of The Day: Being awoken at 8am on a Saturday morning by an automated phone call from Dish Network letting me know that “Now you can watch your favorite teams in high definition in the MLB playoffs on the just-added TBS High Definition channel!!”. I agree it’s a good thing they’ve added the channel (at last), but did they really need to tell me about it that early in the morning? When the phone rings at 8am, I’m always expecting bad news. At least I was in the middle of a bad dream where I was about to attempt to jump off a high platform, so maybe being woken up was a good thing this one time. But I’m putting you On Notice, Dish Network!
I wonder if they pushed this call out to every subscriber, or to just the ones in cities that have teams in the playoffs…
