You generally do.  At least for most of my 20 years in Denver, May-June marked a period of almost daily, 15-minute rainshowers around 5:pm.  And most of the rest of the year, except of course for the March snowstorms, was dry.

My favorite thing about the Denver climate (about which I could, and do, go on at length) was how it gets bad just often enough to remind you how great it normally is.</description>
