Here We Go

The migration to the new server and to WordPress was successful, as you can probably see. I was even able to import all my old blog entries from GreyMatter. The site will continue to undergo changes as I become more familiar with how WordPress works and can work in my custom changes or switch to a different template. I’m not real happy with the default template (especially the fonts – ewww!). So please bear with me for the time being…

Latre.

Whoo-hoo I’m the first one to spew comments all over the new design! Yeah, the font’s kinda…mehh. I kinda like the rest, though.

Nice, Rog! Doug helped me install WordPress the weekend before last, and I’ve been noodling around with it, but until I can modify the template to my liking, I won’t migrate over to it. (And there’s a very high chance I won’t be able to migrate older entries, which kind of bites.) Have you seen the Kubrick template?

Have you been spam-blasted in your comments yet? I got hammered last week, but it seems to have tapered off.

My only cranky comment is that I hate being required to give my email address — especially now that I know how quickly the spambots picked up on my WordPress site. Hence the fakey one.

Hey Aim, I haven’t been spam blasted yet, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time.

I have seen the Kubrick template and was thinking of going to that. I will be interested to see what you do. I really dislike how the text looks (almost broken/distressed), and I’m not sure what’s going on. Haven’t had much time to play around with it yet though.

I did have to add your fakey address to my whitelist, as the comment notification got caught in quarantine. It is stupid that it requires that on the comments. At least GreyMatter sent all comment notifications as coming from the admin e-mail address.
