Less Power To Me

Last night at around 10:15pm, the power went off at my house and some other houses in the neighborhood, and stayed off for an extended period. Don’t know what caused it, as it wasn’t storming then, though it did rain off and on throughout the night after that. The odd thing is that the power came back on at exactly midnight. Since most of my digital clocks reset themselves to midnight when the power is out for awhile and they lose their memory, I ended up not having to do much in the way of clock resetting this morning. God, or Xcel Energy, works in mysterious ways.

That is So Very excellent.
Several of us are going to an Important Meeting tomorrow. I put together a presentation and lugged the laptop up to the assistant director’s office. On the way out my door, I thought it might be helpful to also distribute a series of flyers that the presentation refers to. The director is sitting in the assistant director’s office, surrounded by agendas and such, in high-stress-mode, telling him, “we should have the flyers for these” just as I show up, stack of flyers in hand. It’s a small thing, but certainly another clocks-at-midnight moment.
