I was a bit freaked out this morning when I opened up my local paper and read today’s Pickles:
My initial impression was that the artist was going the surreal Zippy the Pinhead route and thought that adding a headless apparition of a sumo wrestler (or naked pregnant woman?) to the second panel would give the strip a little zing. Alas, it’s only the ink imprint from the Rudy Park comic strip on the opposite page (that’s Rudy’s bulging eyes and nose). Sadly, not even the appearance of ghostly man-boobs could make the punchline less predictable or the strip funny. And I swear they’ve done this gag before.
Hee - I just googled “ghostly man-boobs” and got no hits.
