Well, either no one got my little puzzle in the last blog entry, or didn’t comment about it if they did. It was meant to be somewhat literal, not existential. If you take the last word from every sentence, you’ll see the message that I was going on a little vacation trip and wouldn’t be updating the blog for awhile. Though I don’t need a vacation as an excuse for not updating!
Anyway, where did I go and what did I do? That will have to wait for my full trip report, which will hopefully be later today. Many of you know already. For those that don’t, these pictures should give a bit of a hint. Yes, I was scoping out locations for my new supervillain hideout. My intended new career battling James Bond and his odious ilk beckons. Unfortunately, dormant volcanos don’t come cheap.
Latre.

I’ll take a stab at a guess. That top picture looks like the inside of a submarine, and the only tourable submarine that I can think of (inside of the US) is in San Francisco.

There’s also a tourable submarine in Chicago at the Museum of Science and Industry (a German U-Boat).
But nope, it’s neither of those.
I didn’t get the trip report done yesterday liked I hoped I would, so the answer may have to wait a little while…

There’s no Sentox gas involved, is there?

Ah well, vacations are a bit easier to deal with than “Dark nights of the soul.” There is also a submarine at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, but it’s not this one
Does Re/Max list dormant volcanoes?
