Seeing The World Through New Eyes

Love!Ah, Valentine’s Day! Is there a more perfect holiday? It’s a day when peace reigns all over the world and everyone comes together in a shower of love and respect. Hearts and flowers are everywhere. The color red is more abundant than at a Republican convention. Dewey-eyed couples hold hands and gaze lovingly at each other over a meticulously prepared plate of duck confit at their local fine dining establishment. Young children lovingly hug the legs of their parents and promise to be good as they keep one eye trained on those little candy hearts with the cute sayings. Even lonely single people with no one to spend the holiday are caught up in the waves of good vibrations emitted by the more fortunate. Everyone exchanges cards and greetings and no one is left out of the celebration (aside from you party pooping “anti-cupids” out there). Puppies stop growling at kittens. For one glorious day, all is right with the world.

Yes, I’m in a relationship this year. Why do you ask?

A Very Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your loved ones!

Latre.

P.S. How about a little VDay music? For twisted romance, you can’t beat Jonathan Coulton’s Skullcrusher Mountain (more on that soon).

P.P.S. Woo hoo – A whole week of daily posts, just for all you complainers (hi, Janet)! Is this a new record for me?

Hey now, when I saw you’d posted yet another entry, I was all set to zip on over here and laud you for your good hard work. But you had to call me out on it! Hmph.

Ah, that’s OK. It’s a nice Valentine to get name-checked on one of my favorite blogs. Happy Vday to you and yours! xoxo
