Some Things I Saw Today

In chronological order:

A plastic fork next to a prairie dog hole. Are prairie dogs the new raccoons? Or maybe they are learning to use our utensils. Or maybe someone is picnicking on prairie dogs.

A small but distressing article in the newspaper about the company I work for.

A really long piece of hair stuck in the windshield wiper of my rental car and fluttering in the wind, driving me crazy.

A depressed co-worker about to be downsized.

The matron at my local Thai joint wearing an apron with a picture of a scantily-dressed sexy woman on the front.

Two kids crossing a busy street in a very large toy car, with their father walking in front of them.

A long, lone jet contrail in a cloudless sky, pointing to the last remnants of the sun setting over a mountain.

Latre.
