For Those Without Common Sense

Posted on | August 2, 2006 at 9:25 pm | 6 Comments

My lack of blog updates lately has absolutely nothing to do with this video that I had to view at work (especially since I just viewed it today). Hey, you gotta admire the acting in this. Reminds me of those fake PSA spots they do on Reno 911. This is apparently the first in a series. I can’t wait for the one about the perils of surfing for porn.

Edit: I took the link to the video down, since I think the company that produces it may get upset that I linked directly to something that is not supposed to be directly accessible through their website and which they try to sell to other companies. But I’ll summarize the plot for you:

Giving away confidential company information in your personal blog is bad!
Blogging on company time is bad!

There you go.

Latre.

Why did you “have to view” it? Was it shown to everyone, or was there a specific reason you had to watch it?

Everyone in the company is supposed to view it, but I don’t think they can really track who viewed it and who didn’t.

Since we both work at the same company, it’s good that I read you blog at work – you just reminded me that I’m supposed to watch that video.

Argh. What a creepy boss: checking his blog during company time, complimenting his writing, and then busting him for it.

I feel bad for people in the PSA/industrial film industry whose lives are dedicated to making people squirm and laugh unintentionally.

The question is: Do they have to watch videos made by other companies?
