I’m treading on Comics Curmudgeon terrority here, but this really freaked me out in the comic pages today. Two strips, Candorville and Doonesbury, which appear right next to each other in the Rocky Mountain News, used the same stem cell gag (click on the pic for bigger version):

Is anyone else getting a bit tired of the visual shorthand whereby “anti-war” is conveyed by a long-haired, bearded, t-shirt wearing guy? That was 40 years ago, folks…you don’t have to be a hippie to be against the war.
